Etching with drypoint, 1640, a delicate impression of New Hollstein's first state (of two), with faint signs of burr albeit worn, printing rather greyly on thin laid paper with watermark of Foolscap with seven-pointed collar, platemark 150 x 138 mm (5 7/8 x 5 3/8 in), sheet 310 x 203 mm (12 1/4 x 8 in), unusually wide margins, signs of cleaning to the sheet with faint spotting and toning visible, old handling creases, some expert repairs to splitting, slightly rough edges (unframed)
