Description

Kolovouris (Stefanos, bookbinder).- Shakespeare (William) Antony & Cleopatra, one of 300 copies signed by the artist, printed in blue and black, colour illustrations by Ronald King, in a designer binding by Stefanos Kolovouris of sanded goatskin with title in blind on upper cover, spine with exposed sewing, in a box made from buffalo skin secured with a piece of balsa wood, around which the title is engraved, folio, Guildford, Circle Press, 1979.

⁂ Accompanying the lot is a catalogue for the 2019 Society of Bookbinders international competition, in which this binding featured.
