Description

Food & drink.- Printed on silk.- Lord Mayor's Day, Saturday the 9th day of November, 1850, banquet bill of fare, printed on silk, arms of the City of London at head, decorative border, the odd minor split, some staining, little creasing, but generally in a good state of preservation, 570 x 254mm., E. Couchman, 10 Throgmorton Street, 1850.

⁂ Seemingly unrecorded. The fare included '250 Tureens of real turtle'; 'Capt. White's Selim's true India curries'; 'Hams, ornamented'; 'Chantilly baskets'; 'Pine Apples, from 2 to 3lbs each'; and 'Dishes of hot-house grapes'.
