Divan, Persian text in naskh and nasta'liq on paper, without the bilingual title page, ff. 155-157 supplied in contemporary manuscript facsimile, a good, first f. a little soiled and with ink stamps to head, a very good, clean copy otherwise, ownership inscriptions (one dated 1817) and stamps of Alexander Ross, ink stamps of the Aberdeen Theological Library (not traced in their catalogues), rear endpaper becoming detached, contemporary calf, joints cracked, chipping and wear to spine and corners, rubbed and scuffed, [Shaw, Printing in Calcutta 186], folio, Calcutta, [printed by A. Upjohn for Richard Johnson], 1791.
⁂ Alexander Ross, most likely the army officer (d.1827) who served as aide to Cornwallis in India in the late 18th century, when this book was printed and published by subscription.
