Romanov Family.- Russia.- [Britain in Picture series], 5 vol. gift ink inscriptions from Prince Andrei of Russia or his wife, Nadine McDougall, to each vol. to front free endpaper, mixed editions, light toning, occasional surface marks, foxing to endpapers, original boards, dust-jackets, spines a little browned, a few small nicks and tears to spine ends and edges, slight wear to joints, a little bumped, 1942-1946; and a Russian folktale illustrated by I. J. Bilibin (7).

⁂ Prince Andrei is the eldest nephew of Nicholas II of Russia, the last Tsar. Prince Andrei and Nadine married in 1942. Each copy of the Britain in Picture books included in this lot has a gift inscription between husband and wife, with 5 of the 6 being from Prince Andrei, dated "Xmas 1946".
