Description

Ravilious (Eric).- Richards (J.M.) High Street, first edition, wood-engraved title vignette and 24 colour lithograph plates by Eric Ravilious, old paperclip rust stain to head of front free endpapers (very slightly showing through to head of frontispiece), original pictorial boards, very slightly rubbed at edges (mainly corners), spine a little browned and slightly chipped at foot, 8vo, Curwen Press for Country Life Ltd., 1938.

⁂ A fine copy of a notoriously fragile book, one of the best examples of Ravilious's experimentations with colour lithography produced for the Curwen Press.
