Europe.- Manuscript maps.- A group of 31 maps of mainly British and European countries, including British counties, the Isle of Wight, Jersey, Scotland, and others, pen and ink, watercolour, graphite, mainly on wove paper, two on board, several by and inscribed 'W. Gyles', others by various hands, between c. 80 x 105 mm. and 390 x 285 mm., some staining, browning, surface dirt and handling creases, all unframed, [mainly 19th century]; together with 3 framed manuscript maps of Europe by different hands, pen and ink, watercolour, one with printed decorative border, various sizes, largest 285 x 365 mm., two dated, 1857 and 1864, respectively; and with the lithograph 'Mathematics, Philosophy, and the use of the Globes', 240 x 190 mm.
