Lily (William) A Short Introduction of Grammar...Generally to be Used to Attain...Knowledge of the Latin Tongue, 2 parts in 1, both titles with woodcut borders, the second with vignettes depicting Astronomy, Music, Rhetoric and Geometry, amongst others, charming full-page woodcut illustration to verso of final f. depicting young gentlemen catching fruit in baskets from the tree of knowledge, O3 verso and O4 recto small ink stain within text, occasional spotting, contemporary calf, joints worn, but holding firm, corners worn, rubbed, 8vo, by S.Buckley and T.Longman, 1776.

⁂ An unrecorded variant of this work on grammar, mathematics and rhetoric. Both the 1774 and variant 1776 editions are scarce with no copies in BL
