Fielding (Henry) The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling, 6 vol., second edition with vol.I Contents extended to c8 recto instead of errata leaf, with final blanks in vol.I (K12) and vol.III (R12) present and B5 in vol.VI unsigned, B5 in vol.I torn with slight loss and O5 in vol.VI defective at lower outer corner (both repaired with missing letters supplied in manuscript), M3-10 in vol.V torn at inner margin, a few other minor tears or defects, mostly marginal but with loss of occasional letter/number, some light soiling, vol.II lacking rear free endpaper, engraved bookplate of Edward, Lord Suffield, contemporary calf, spines gilt, rubbed, spines and joints a little worn, 12mo, for A.Millar, 1749.
