[Haywood (Eliza)] The History of Jemmy and Jenny Jessamy, 3 vol., first edition, half-titles with advertisements on verso, also to final leaf of vol.3, mixed set with vol.1 very browned and stained, half-title soiled and defective at edges with slight loss to advertisement on verso (repaired and mounted on stub, short tear), a few other minor tears and marginal defects with slight loss to text to D2, E6 & I5 (mostly catchwords or headlines), ex-library copy with embossed stamp at foot of title and ink accession no. on verso, modern calf, vol.2 & 3 very lightly browned but generally clean, small hole to M9 in vol.2 with loss of a couple of letters, lacking rear free endpaper, vol.3 with small marginal tear to C9 & 10, contemporary calf, rubbed, spine ends worn, all vol.with new roan labels, 12mo, T.Gardner, 1753.
⁂ Scarce novel. Few copies have been sold at auction, the last two being in 2000 and 1977.
