Palladio (Andrea) The First Book of Architecture...with an Appendix concerning Doors and Windows, translated by Godfrey Richards, twelfth edition, engraved additional pictorial title, title in red and black, 71 engraved plates and full-page illustrations, 4 folding including view of St.Paul's, woodcut illustrations, advertisement leaf at end, contemporary ink inscription to verso of engraved title and plate of St.Paul's, signature Y misbound, rather browned, soiled and stained, frontispiece and large folding plates torn and repaired, title defective at head with loss of "The" (repaired), plate at C3 defective at corner (repaired), modern panelled calf, spine gilt with red morocco label, slightly marked, [Harris 682], small 4to, for A.Bettesworth and C.Hitch [& others], 1733.
