This present drawing was originally shown as part of a group of 16 drawings at La Galerie des Quatre Chemins, Paris 1928. The drawings were subsequently reproduced and used to illustrate Cocteau's book La Machine Infernale, published by Bernard Grasset in 1934.
We thank Mme Annie Guédras for her assistance in cataloguing this work. A certificate of authenticity issued by her accompanies this lot.
