The Holy Bible containing the Old Testament and the New:..., extra illustrated with 98 original biblical engravings by Pieter van der Borcht (c.1535-1608), originally printed as part of van Barrefelt's 'Imagines et Figurae Bibliorum', but these are likely early 17th century impressions, each platemark approx. 190 x 250 mm (7 1/2 x 9 3/4 in), various watermarks, many with folds, small amounts of splitting and repairs throughout, general engraved architectural title, NT separate title, text in double columns, printed within ruled border in red with enclosed inner and outer margins for sidenotes, lacking 6ff.? (A3-8?), [Wing B2225], John Field, 1648, bound after The Book of Common Prayer, initial ff. with paper repairs at inner and outer margins, [Wing B3625A], John Bill and Christopher Barker, 1663, and The Whole Book of Psalms, for the Company of Stationers, [Wing B2458], 1661, and an engraved double-page title for an Emblemata Sacra, 1639, together 3 in 1, trimming to upper and lower margins, affecting borders, headlines, signatures and catchwords, with some loss in places, light browning and occasional finger soiling, bookplate, contemporary calf, covers detached and rubbed, spine worn and chipped, cloth drop front box, slightly worn, 8vo.
